After about Three Weeks of Letting them build Up in the Swarm Trap, It was Finally Time to Transfer the Swarm.

So Friday night after a Nice Day of good weather for the Bees and a Comfortable Night Temperature of 68 degrees.

I traveled to My Parents Property to Remove the Trap at 9:30 pm giving the Bees some time after the Sun went down to begin there clustering and sleeping Cycles.

There are guard bees of course that we gently smoke them back into the entrance, not too much, Just puff or two will do and you can spin the Gate Disc to the Desired Opening.

I put my gate to fully closed while I took the Box from the Tree.
However for the Actual Transfer of the Bees in the Vehicle, I changed the Gate to Vent and Turned the Entrance to the Side of the Interior of the Vehicle to reduce Light coming into the entranced in transit.
After I arrived at my home. I Placed the Swarm Trap onto the Stand Sitting Right Next to where there Final Hive is.
At this point the Honey Bees were Heated from the Vibrations and Disturbances of Moving the Swarm Trap.
So in order to get them to come out safely and realize that there hive has indeed moved and they will have to do "Orientation Flights" to find out how much there environment has changed.

To facilitate this, I taped a Piece of Bees Wax Foundation Sheet Over there Entrance then Turn the Disc to Partially Open, then Left to see what they would do.
After a few minutes they had chewed through the Wax and Were a few 1000 on the outside of the box.
I believe this is simply because they were hot and need to cool the hive down.

The Loud busing finally calmed down after an hour and a half and they were all mostly back inside the hive at this point.

The Following Morning it appeared as business as usual, Bees were doing orientation flights at the entrance and even appeared to be brining in pollen from some of them.

So I now wait for the Middle of the Day when temperatures are ideal for the Bees to Be Foraging and Majority of the Bees will be gone from the Swarm Trap.

Its Time to Begin the Transfer of the Honey Bees from there Swarm Trap to there Insulated Horizontal Hive with Layens Frames.
Success! Now I will give them time to Work on the Four New Frames I gave them.
Then I will do an Inspection in about 21 days or Average time for the Next Brood Cycle to Begin.

Today is 6/6/2021 so that puts me around the 27th of June.

See you then.
